Telehealth Capability Interest Group

Background

There are various levels of maturity of Telehealth across NSW, including many clinicians who are unsure about how to develop a successful and sustainable Telehealth service. This group will cater for the various breadth of knowledge that is held in this space, and for clinicians to learn from each other.

Purpose

Telehealth is occurring with varying degrees of maturity and complexity throughout NSW. The Telehealth Capability Interest Group has been developed to:

  1. Share information and knowledge
  2. Identify common issues at a state level
  3. Networking and capacity building
  4. Identify excellence and promote innovative models
  5. Enable uptake and usage of ACI Guidelines for the use of Telehealth for clinical and non clinical settings in NSW

Responsibilities / Functions

  • To facilitate collaboration and networking for clinicians and managers currently working in or wanting to undertake Telehealth services
  • Support Telehealth integration across all areas of the patient journey (e.g. aged care, hospital, primary care settings)

Membership of the Telehealth Capability Interest Group will be open to clinicians and managers across the state throughout the LHDs, Pillars, SHNs, eHealth NSW, PHNs, NGOs, and consumers of Telehealth services.
