Pelvic injury guideline 

The adult trauma clinical practice guideline Management of Haemodynamically Unstable Patients with a Pelvic Fracture is one of four guidelines published by NSW ITIM. It consists of 4 documents:

Full report - the complete guideline including algorithms, summary, discussions, tables of evidence, appendixes and references.

Summary report - contains algorithms and guidelines.

Algorithm 1 - A3 colour algorithm for angiography services available.

Algorithm 2 - A3 colour algorithm for without angiography services available.

  1. How to determine the source of bleeding in haemodynamically unstable pelvic fracture patients.
  2. How to control pelvic bleeding with or without associated intraabdominal bleeding.
  3. What is the optimal angiography and embolisation technique?
  4. How to optimally mechanically stabilise the pelvis.
