The Minister for Health, Jillian Skinner has released the NSW Pain Management Plan, a strategy designed to overhaul pain management services across NSW.

The plan was drafted with the support of the ACI Pain Management Network and builds on the expertise in pain management that already exists in the health system.

The plan will see $26 million provided over the next four years to support development of new pain management services in regional areas, to enhance existing teaching hospital services, and to support research into chronic pain.
